How to work around the FAKEPATH problem in Chrome

I cannot get the full path in the HTML5 “input type=”file” input component. (Confirmed on version 58.0.3029.110 (64-bit))

The full path cannot be obtained, and only the file name can be obtained, possibly for security reasons.

c:\fakepath\sample.xlsx

The image is covered up as shown in the following figure.

The above seems to be the case from IE8 as well.

However, there are workarounds, such as setting the browser as a “trusted site” so that the full path can be obtained.
